Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas confirmed  on Monday (15/9/2025) that the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) share a unified political commitment to the long-awaited Asset Seizure Bill (RUU Perampasan Aset). 

The initiative, once drafted by the government, has now formally moved under the DPR’s lead.

“Just be a little patient regarding the Asset Seizure Bill—the political commitment is already united,” Minister Supratman said, as reported by antaranews.com

He expressed optimism that with the DPR taking the initiative, deliberations will progress swiftly, as the government has finalized the draft and is prepared for discussion. He noted that the bill could be addressed immediately after the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) bill is concluded.

The DPR’s Legislative Body recently proposed the Asset Seizure Bill, along with the Chamber of Commerce Bill and Industrial Zone Bill, for inclusion in the 2025 Priority National Legislation Program.
