inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police reveal the whole truth behind the incident of a person pointing a gun at a gas station office in the Cibubur Toll Road Rest Area, East Jakarta. From the investigation of the case, the man in fact does not point a gun, but a lighter shaped as a gun.

“Those are lighters,” clarify the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi when met at Kramat Jati Bhayangkara Hospital on Friday (1/24/2025).

Although the gun was in fact just a lighter, Senior Superintendent Ade still saw those actions as a threat towards others.

“So, even though the evidence is lighter, if they still used it to threaten the others, especially when they are doing it too close,” says Ade.

He says the man with the initials of DD has been identified as suspect and charged with Article 335 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
