inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police are preparing security measures for the Eid homecoming through Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 to ensure the safety and smooth flow of travelers during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

"We will soon be entering the major Eid al-Fitr event. We inform the public that Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 is a humanitarian operation with the primary focus on the safety, smoothness, security, and comfort of the public," said South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent I Putu Yuni Setiawan, Friday (2/27/2026).

Putu stated that a number of preparations have been made, including mapping points prone to congestion, accidents, and crime based on data and field dynamics.

In addition, his office is also strengthening security posts, service posts, and integrated posts on main routes, terminals, stations, ports, airports, rest areas, and crowded centers.

"We are also preparing situational traffic management and engineering, including traffic diversions, restrictions on certain vehicles at certain times, and contraflow and one-way traffic when needed, with cross-sectoral and cross-agency coordination," said Setiawan.

Furthermore, the Police Chief stated that his office is committed to providing real-time information through the Traffic Management Center (TMC) Command Center and official channels so that the public can plan their travels safely and comfortably.

Patrols and security measures are also being implemented in residential areas, especially when homes are unoccupied. In addition, patrols are also being conducted in centers of community activity.

"Here, we ask our media colleagues for their full support. Let's together be good guides for the public. We will convey traffic safety warnings, route information, and other important information the public needs to know. And most importantly, help ensure the information circulating remains accurate and does not cause panic and disrupt security," Setiawan calls.
