Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Home Affairs is streamlining business licensing processes across regions, particularly in the management of natural resources, to boost regional development and investment.
“The licensing process is often too slow and becomes a problem for regional development,” said Secretary General Tomsi Tohir. “We’re implementing a clear timeline for acceleration, improving coordination between central and local administrations, and setting standard of procedures to ensure services are fast, affordable, and transparent.”
The Ministry is also promoting the use of integrated Public Service Malls, where all permits can be processed under one roof, and encouraging local governments to optimize digital platforms, as reported by antaranews.com on Tuesday (10/6/2025).
However, Secretary General Tohir noted that many online systems remain inefficient, requiring in-person visits.
These efforts were highlighted during a meeting with participants of the National Leadership Strengthening Program from the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) institute on Tuesday, as part of the Ministry’s broader initiative to improve licensing efficiency and public service delivery.
