Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A humanoid robot caught the public’s eye during rehearsals for the upcoming 79th Bhayangkara Day celebration, set to take place at Jakarta’s National Monument (Monas) on Tuesday.
Equipped with a beret and police vest, the robot mimicked real officers by marching, running, and saluting.
“This humanoid has unique capabilities, simulating the actions of police personnel,” said the Indonesian National Police )INP) Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko on Friday (27/6/2025).
The rehearsal also featured 25 other robots, including a tank robot, agricultural drone robot, robot dog, and "ropi" robot—each representing the INPe’s push for innovation.
Chief Trunoyudo said that the robots drew attention from bystanders at Monas.
“This event is for all Indonesians. It reflects our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The celebration will also include a performance by the Cenderawasih Drum Corps from the Police Academy, with 246 cadets led by stick master Brigadier Cadet Kaisar Nialfza, showcasing the INP;s dedication to youth leadership and modernization.
