Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Jakarta is providing psychological assistance to a 7-year-old boy, who was allegedly abused by their parents in South Jakarta’s Kebayoran Lama market area.
“A psychologist is already assisting, but the child still struggles to speak—only a few words come out,” said hospital spokesperson Superintendent Firdaus on Friday (117/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The boy, identified as MK, remains under intensive care after undergoing surgery for a fractured arm on June 14, treated by pediatric and orthopedic specialists. The child also suffers from severe anemia, malnutrition, a suspected bone infection, and burn scars on the face.
“Compared to the initial condition upon admission, there has been improvement,” Firdaus added.
The boy was transferred from Kebayoran Lama Regional Hospital to Bhayangkara Hospital on 12 June 2025. The hospital has deployed six doctors to monitor the child in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Firdaus emphasized that he is not yet ready to return home, saying the priority remains full physical and psychological recovery.
