Head of the sub-directorate of the Directorate of Security and Safety (Ditkamsel) of Korlantas Polri, Commissioner Arman Achdiat, said that tolerance, empathy, and attention, are reflections of traffic awareness. “This awareness is the reflection of a civilization, of a society, and even a nation, because traffic is the veins of the city, and also a reflection of the nation's culture," said Commissioner Arman Achdiat, Thursday (07/07/22). He added that safety in traffic is a shared responsibility. Empathy, care, and tolerance, in traffic must be reinforced in people as early as possible. “We can count the number of accidents at black spots or prone spots. However, we also always look at the studies and discussion forums with several stakeholders we often do. We also educate the public regarding the discipline and awareness of traffic order," said the Intermediate Officer of the Korlantas Polri. These efforts have been carried out in traffic safety education on formal and non-formal routes. "In our formal effort in educating the traffic laws, we already done it at the middle and high school levels. And that's why we have implemented an MoU with the National Education Office to include traffic order lessons in all schools. These traffic education also reached to the University level. For our non-formal efforts, it can be done directly through the media, trainings, and through Safety Driving Center, "explained the former Director of Ditlantas Central Java Police.
