Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian government has urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and prioritize diplomacy following a series of military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iranian territories on Saturday (28/2/2026).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the critical need to respect national sovereignty to prevent further regional instability. In a bold diplomatic move, Indonesia declared its readiness to act as a neutral facilitator to bridge the deepening divide between Washington and Tehran.

"If agreed upon by both parties, the President of Indonesia is prepared to travel to Tehran to conduct mediation," the Ministry said in an official release quoted by antaranews.com.

The escalating tensions due U.S. military operations targeting Iranian alleged nuclear sites, marked a significant shift since the previous 2025 engagements. As global security hangs in the balance, Indonesia continues to monitor the safety of its citizens abroad while advocating for peaceful resolutions through established international frameworks.
