Speaking at the 49th IPA Convex in Tangerang on Wednesday (21/5/2025), he urged regulatory bodies to simplify procedures to attract investment in the oil and gas sector.

President Prabowo noted that Indonesia is moving toward energy self-sufficiency and will soon resume energy exports. He also introduced Danantara Indonesia, a government investment body prepared to fund strategic energy projects alongside international partners.
The event, attended by representatives from 60 countries and major global energy CEOs, marked the first time in a decade that a president participated. Ministers and ambassadors from nations including Egypt, Oman, and the UAE were also present, reflecting strong international interest in Indonesia’s energy future.
