Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Transportation is working closely with national airlines, AirNav Indonesia, and international aviation authorities to safeguard flight operations amid ongoing airspace disruptions in the Middle East.
“We are coordinating with AirNav, national carriers, and foreign civil aviation authorities to ensure flight safety and smooth operations, especially for routes crossing Middle Eastern airspace,” said Director General of Civil Aviation Lukman F. Laisa on Sunday (29/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The move comes in response to escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, which have led to the partial closure of several flight information regions (FIRs), including parts of Tehran, Tel Aviv, Dubai, and Cairo.
Lukman emphasized that Indonesian authorities are actively monitoring the situation and updating airlines about restricted airspace and rerouting needs.
He urged all national carriers to remain vigilant and closely follow developments in the region to avoid disruptions and maintain passenger safety.
