Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian U-23 national team failed to advance to the final of the 2024 Asian U-23 Cup after losing to the Uzbekistan U-23 national team with a score of 0-2 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Monday (29/4/2024).

Uzbekistan conceded in the 60th minute. Taking advantage of the chaos in front of Uzbekistan's goal, Muhammad Ferrari managed to snatch the ball, turned around, and unleashed a shot that went into Uzbekistan's goal.

Unfortunately, this goal was disallowed by the referee because during the process leading to the goal, Ramadhan Sananta was in an offside position when the duel occurred in front of Uzbekistan's goal

Four minutes later, it was Indonesia's goal that conceded.

Receiving a cross from Khamralaliev from the right side, Norchaev was able to meet the ball with a volley shot that went into Indonesia's goal. Uzbekistan led 1-0.

In the 85th minute, Indonesia's goal was breached again. There was a miscommunication between Arhan and Ernando when trying to clear the header from Khusanov, causing Arhan to score an own goal. Uzbekistan led 2-0 against Indonesia until the end of the match.

The Uzbekistan U-23 team advanced to the final. Meanwhile, the Indonesian U-23 national team will compete for third place.
