inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia and Peru have agreed to work with other countries to help realize a two-state solution for Palestine, hopefully ending the violence experienced by the Palestinian people.
The issue of Palestine was one of the topics discussed by President Prabowo and Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra during a one-on-one meeting in the Presidential Office at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (8/11/2025).
"Regarding global issues, we greatly appreciate Peru's support for Palestinian independence. We will work together to achieve a two-state solution," said President Prabowo.
On the same occasion, President Boluarte stated that Indonesia and Peru share similar views, including a desire to advance democracy, defend multilateralism, uphold international law, support free trade, enhance South-South cooperation, and achieve food security and sustainable development.
"Five decades of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding have forged a strong and lasting relationship based on shared interests," said President Boluarte.
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte visited the Independence Palace for a state visit on Monday. Boluarte's visit was the first by a Peruvian president since the two countries established diplomatic relations on August 12, 1975.
