Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia is ready to participate in 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan, on April 13th to October 13th, 2025, which has become the main platform for countries in solidifying their commitment in achieving 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
“As the biggest archipelagic country in the world, and ranked fourth in the most populated countries with the second biggest biodiverse in the world, Indonesia has done its task to realize its SDG,” says the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa via press release, Thursday (29/2/24).
According to the 2023 United Nation (UN) report, Indonesia has become one of the states with the most progressive SDG among the middle-high income states.
In this five-year agenda, the Indonesian Pavilion raises the theme “Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future,” with the main focus of Indonesia's commitment in sustainable development, including the implementation of a green and blue economy for SDGs.
The Indonesian Pavilion chose the boat design which represents sustainable development and a roaming symbol for future potentials in accordance with the 2025-2045 National Long-term Development Plan.
Furthermore, according to the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report released by the UN, Indonesia rank has gone up from 102nd in 2019, to 75th in global level. The index of Indonesian SDG has also gone up from 64.2 in 2019 to 70.2 in 2023.
The report also showed 63 percent of indicators have reached its target, while the other 16 indicators showed significant refinement.
