Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto and Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo dispatched the Patriot Indonesia II contingent to represent the country in the 2025 Bastille Day celebration in France.

"This contingent will serve as an honorary guest in the Bastille Day military parade on July 14, commemorating the French Revolution," said Minister Sjafrie during the departure ceremony at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Sunday (6/7/2025).

The contingent consists of approximately 500 personnel from the TNI and INP, including cadets from military and police academies.

“This is the only foreign contingent invited personally by the President of France, via an official invitation to the President of Indonesia,” Minister Sjafrie emphasized.

Minister Sjafrie highlighted that Indonesia’s participation symbolizes growing international recognition and affirms the country’s rising influence in global defense and technological cooperation.

The invitation followed a state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Indonesia on 28 May 2025 during which he formally invited President Prabowo Subianto to send a contingent as a guest of honor.
