Inp.polri.go.id - Guwahati. Indonesia secured a spot in the 2025 Suhandinata Cup final after defeating host nation India 2–0 (45–35, 45–21) in the semifinals of the BWF World Junior Championships on Friday (10/10/2025).
The young Indonesian squad delivered an impressive comeback after trailing early in the first set before sealing victory in dominant fashion.
“Our players showed strong mental resilience and teamwork, turning the match around with confidence and composure,” the Indonesia’s team said in a statement, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The men’s doubles pair Muhammad Rizki Mubarok and Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono led the charge, followed by standout performances from singles player Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan and mixed doubles duo Ikhsan Lintang Pramudya and Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine. The final point came from Rinjani and Riska Anggraini’s decisive return that India failed to counter.
Indonesia now advances to the championship round, aiming to reclaim the Suhandinata Cup title for the first time since 2019.
