Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has called on all parties to pursue a peaceful solution following a large-scale United States military attack on Venezuela, amid unverified claims that President Nicolas Maduro was captured. 

The situation escalated on Saturday (3/1/2026)with explosions reported in Caracas, raising international concern over civilian safety and regional stability.

“Indonesia urges all parties to prioritize peaceful settlement through de-escalation and dialogue, in line with international law,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a written statement as reported by antaranews.com.

The government emphasized the obligation to protect civilians and respect the UN Charter, while confirming that all Indonesian nationals in Venezuela remain safe. The Indonesian Embassy in Caracas continues to closely monitor security developments.

Local media reported multiple explosions, power outages, and low-flying fighter jets over the Venezuelan capital. Venezuela’s foreign minister condemned the attack as an act of military aggression, while the US claim regarding Maduro’s arrest has not been independently verified.
