Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia earned two titles at the Sri Lanka International Challenge 2025 on Sunday (2/3/2025) in Colombo.
Mixed doubles pair Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti triumphed after a tough battle against Japan’s Yuta Watanabe/Maya Taguchi, winning 16-21, 21-14, 21-18. Bobby/Melati’s victory extends their strong 2025 season after winning the Singapore International Challenge in February this year.
Men’s doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin won the final, defeating Taiwan’s Chia Yen Lin/Lin Yong Sheng 21-14, 21-12 in just 30 minutes. They also secured back-to-back titles, following their Singapore win.
"We focused on consistency and communication, despite limited recovery time," Raymond said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Indonesia sent a total of 28 Indonesian players to compete in the tournament, but only Bobby/Melati and Raymond/Joaquin made it to the finals.
