Indonesian Foreign Ministry Coordinates with KCG for Search of Four Missing Indonesians

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry coordinates with Korean Coast Guard (KCG) to search for four missing Indonesians after an accident in off the southern coast of Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province. The Director of Indonesian Citizens Protection and Legal Entities, Judha Nugraha, says five boat crews, consisted of four Indonesians and one South Koreans, are still on search. “Search process is still being carried out by the KCG for the five missing ship crews,” said Judha in his statement on Sunday (3/10/2024). On that occasion, Indonesian Foreign Ministry also confirms four of the nine crews of “2 Haesinho” were declared dead after found by the rescue team. Four of the dead crews are Indonesian. “The Indonesian ambassador for Seoul has sent the Indonesian Protector Team to Tongyeong, around five hours from Seoul. The team is in tight communication with KCG for rescue effort and evacuation process in SAE Tongyeong Hospital,” explain Judha. During the rescue effort, the Ministry also keep a tight communication with the seven families of missing Indonesian for the search updates and evacuation process for the deceased. (ad/rz/hn/nm)
