In welcoming Nyepi Day, which falls on Monday March 11th, 2023, the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance of Religion Ministry, I Nengah Duija hopes that the holy day would help improve the quality of self. “With the momentum of Nyepi Day, and holy month of Ramadan, let us continue to improve ourselves, our quality self. So that we could be the beacon of light and joy for the community,” said Duija in his statement on Monday (3/11/2024). Dujia hopes that the act of completing one another and respecting the others would continue. “I hope with the act of completing one another and respecting each other, the universe will continue to move with peace and prosperity,” he hopes. In the 2024 Nyepi Day, the Hindu Community Guidance Directorate General of Religion Ministry raise the theme of “Sat Cit Ananda Indonesia Jaya”. The theme emphasized the unity of the state that could not be shaken easily. “We should talk and have a conversation whenever there is a problem,” said Duija. As part of Nyepi Day celebration, Hindus will hold a Ceremony of Tawur Agung Kesanga and Catur Brata Penyepian. “Through Catur Brata Penyepian, let us reflect to ourselves so that we could transform into our better selves. Both in mind, speech, and manners, to respect each other and complete one other for the peace of the universe,” said Duija as he wished for Happy Nyepi Day. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
