Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Criminal Investigation Agency has arrested 330 suspects for the illegal distribution of subsidized fuel and LPG across 223 locations during a 13-day operation conducted from 7 to 20 April 2026.

Brigadier General Moh. Irhamni, the Director of Special Crimes, revealed on Tuesday that the fraud caused approximately IDR 243 billion in state losses. The suspects operated in 22 provinces, including regions in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Papua.

Modus operandi included modifying vehicle tanks to hoard diesel, collaborating with gas station staff, and illegally transferring subsidized 3kg LPG contents into 12kg and 50kg non-subsidized cylinders for profit.

The suspects face charges under the Oil and Gas Law and the Job Creation Law, carrying a maximum sentence of six years in prison. This crackdown underscores the National Police's commitment to securing government subsidies for the public.
