Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has appointed Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo as the new INP Deputy Chief, replacing Commissioner General Ahmad Dofiri who retired in June.
“Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo has been appointed as the INP Deputy Chief,” said the INP Head Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, on Tuesday (5/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The appointment was formalized in Telegram No. ST/1764/VIII/KEP./2025, signed by INP Head of Human Resource Inspector General Anwar.
General Dedi previously served as Inspector General of Supervision. His post will be filled by Commissioner General Wahyu Widada, previously the INP Head of Criminal Investigation. General Wahyu's previous position will now be assumed by Commissioner General Syahardiantono, while Commissioner General Akhmad Wiyagus replaces him as the INP’s Head of Intelligence and Security.
The reshuffle involves 61 officers, including 7 new regional police chiefs, 8 new top headquarters officials, and 23 retirees.
Chief Sandi asserted that the move is part of institutional revitalization and career development.
