Inp.polri.go.id - Serang. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Sunday (30/11/2025) confirmed that logistical aid and joint personnel have reached disaster-hit areas in Sumatra despite severe access disruptions.
“We deployed officers and aircraft to deliver food, clothing, and communication equipment,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Sigit reported that teams have entered several isolated locations in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra after overcoming blocked roads and damaged communication lines. Working with the military and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), police aircraft were used to transport supplies and evacuate stranded residents.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring assistance continues without delay and said he plans to visit affected regions soon to oversee operations and assess remaining challenges.
