Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) on Sunday (30/11/2025) delivered emergency supplies by helicopter to isolated villages in North Tapanuli and Central Tapanuli in North Sumatra, where floods have cut off road access.
“All units are under firm instruction to meet urgent needs, from food and communication tools to generators and medical supplies,” said Inspector General Laksana, the Deputy Chief Assistant for Operations to the INP Chief, as cited by antaranews.com
Aid was airdropped to Pagaran Lambung Village in Adian Koting District, as well as Naga Timbul and Nauli Villages in Sitahuis District. Helicopters carried ready-to-eat meals, clean water, blankets, medicine, and other essentials for residents stranded for days. The operation followed a major logistics deployment from Pondok Cabe Airport in South Tangerang, Banten on Saturday.
Police also reinforced air assets across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to speed delivery to hard-to-reach areas. A resident of Pagaran Lambung said the assistance “truly saved us” after prolonged isolation.
Distribution will continue through air and alternative routes until all affected communities receive aid.
