Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo carried out President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to safeguard social harmony by visiting two Islamic boarding schools, locally known as Pesantren, in East Java on Wednesday (20/8/2025). 

He stopped at Pesantren Langitan in Tuban and Pesantren Majma’al Bahrain Hubbul Wathon Minal Iman Shiddiqiyyah in Ploso, Jombang.

“We continue to travel around as mandated by the President, to always maintain harmony,” Chief Sigit said during the visit, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He emphasized that the initiative reflects Polri’s commitment to strengthening brotherhood, unity, and national solidarity. He highlighted the importance of building close ties between the police, religious leaders, community figures, and wider society.

Chief Sigit also underscored the role of pesantren in shaping future generations, stressing the need to develop human resources, achieve food security, and optimize natural resources in line with Indonesia’s vision of a golden generation. 

He further sought input from clerics to help the INP better meet public expectations and improve its service to society.
