Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) announced that the 2025 Hari Juang commemoration will be centered in Surabaya, East Java, with the main ceremony scheduled for Thursday, at the INP Struggle Monument on Jalan Raya Darmo street. 

“Hari Juang Polri is not just about remembering history, but also a reflection for us to strengthen our commitment in serving and providing the best for society,” said Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, the INP’s Head of Public Relations Division, on Wednesday (20/8/2025).

The event will be led by INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Hari Juang Polri, or Police Struggle Day, marks the historic resistance of Indonesian police forces during the independence era, particularly their role in defending the nation’s sovereignty against foreign aggression in Surabaya.

The ceremony will be held simultaneously at the INP Headquarters in Jakarta and across all regional police offices at 7 am local time, while Surabaya’s event begins at 8 am 

Activities include a theatrical performance, documentary screening, and the inauguration of a statue honoring Police hero Moehammad Jasin. The police chief will also meet with veterans and families of fallen heroes, handing out financial assistance as a tribute to their sacrifice.
