Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo highlighted the foundational importance of synergy between religious scholars and government leaders during the Ngaji Kebangsaan event in Rembang, Central Java, on Saturday (26/9/2026).

Attending the gathering alongside prominent Islamic scholar Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim, widely known as Gus Baha, Chief Sigit noted that joint efforts between religious and civil leaders have historically anchored the nation since the struggle for independence.

"Clergy and state leaders share a historical legacy of standing together to secure and maintain independence," he said. "Today, we share the collective responsibility to build the nation."

Chief Sigitg described religious scholars as guiding lights offering moral direction, advice, and prayers, while law enforcement maintains public order to enable national development agendas. 

He called for continuous collaboration between religious communities and state institutions to preserve national unity and foster a prosperous society.
