Inp.polri.go.id - Padang Pariaman. Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo on Sunday (28/12/2025) ensured the acceleration of post-flood infrastructure recovery across flood-hit areas in northern Sumatra, including Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra.

“We are here to directly ensure that recovery efforts, especially infrastructure and basic needs, are progressing as planned,” he said during a field inspection in Padang Pariaman, as reported by antaranews.com.

Chief Dedi visited affected communities, distributed humanitarian aid, and oversaw the deployment of logistics convoys, heavy equipment, medical units, and clean water trucks to reach isolated areas in Lubuk Alung and Batang Anai. Police, working with local governments, the military, and other stakeholders, have prioritized restoring road access and temporary bridges to support mobility and economic activities.

Chief Dedi explained that several emergency bridges in Agam, Padang Pariaman, and Solok regencies are either completed or nearing completion. Additional efforts include food aid distribution, clean water provision, and preparations for temporary shelters to support displaced residents during recovery.
