The Indonesian National Police (INP) distributed tens of thousands of rice packs at discounted prices on Wednesday (17/9/2025) at the INP Logistics Bureau (Slog Polri) and the East Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Headquarters. as part of the government-backed Gerakan Pangan Murah (Affordable Food Drive).
“In the Slog Polri location alone, we provided 50 tons of rice, equivalent to 10,000 bags, through the government’s Rice Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division’s Head of Public Information Bureau, as reported by antaranews.com.
In addition to rice, the drive also offered thousands of packages of one-kilogram sugar and one-liter cooking oil at below-market prices. Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Police distributed 25 tons of rice along with 2,500 pouches of cooking oil and 2,500 packs of sugar.
Chief Trunoyudo said that the initiative will continue on a rolling basis to support government efforts to stabilize staple food prices while strengthening ties between the police and the public.
