Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The East Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police are pursuing additional suspects accused of inciting the looting of lawmaker Surya Utama, better known as Uya Kuya, at his residence in Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, on 30 August 2025.
The non-active member of the House of Representatives (DPR)’ Commission IX was not at home during the attack.
“We are searching for the provocateurs who instigated the looting of Uya Kuya’s house,” East Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Chief Superintendent Dicky Fertoffan said Wednesday (17/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He confirmed that police cyber teams are tracing those believed to have spread incitement via social media.
Authorities have so far arrested 15 suspects, with legal proceedings ongoing.
Chief Dicky added that minors involved are being held at the Sentra Handayani facility while awaiting a decision from police leadership regarding prosecution.
The East Jakarta Police also confirmed that two cats taken during the raid are under veterinary care and will be returned once deemed healthy.
