Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed that the case of a Mobile Brigade (Brimob) armored vehicle allegedly running over and killing an online motorcycle taxi driver, Affan Kurniawan (21), on 28 August 2025, will proceed to criminal investigation.

“The case files have been transferred from the Internal Affairs Division to the Criminal Investigation Agency for follow-up,” said INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko at a press conference on Wednesday evening (3/9/2025). 

Commissioner of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Muhammad Choirul Anam said that the case must be handled not only as an internal ethics violation but also as a criminal matter, noting that video evidence from the public could strengthen the probe.
