Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo urged labor unions to fight for workers' rights and welfare while maintaining a stable investment climate to drive national economic growth.
"We encourage the continuous struggle for labor rights and welfare, but on the other hand, we must also ensure that the investment climate remains conducive," he said during the inauguration of the Joint Secretariat for the Coalition of Indonesian Labor Struggle in Jakarta on Friday (24/7/2026).
Chief Sigit highlighted that labor movements play a crucial role in supporting government priority programs, particularly industrial downstreaming and job creation.
He instructed the INP Labor Desk to optimize its services, mediation efforts, and dispute resolution mechanisms for workers facing employment challenges across the country.
