inp.polri.go.id - Bali. The Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, held an audience with Bali Governor I Wayan Koster. The meeting discussed preparations for Operation Ketupat 2026, which will take place close to Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi Day.

Agus stated that the audience was part of cross-agency coordination to ensure that all community activities can run safely and smoothly.

"Operation Ketupat is a humanitarian operation. So, it's not just about traffic, ensuring that people go home and return home safely, but the state is also present to secure social events for the community," explained Agus in an official statement on Friday (3/6/2026).

He explained that security in Operation Ketupat covers several important areas, namely toll roads, arterial roads, ferry ports such as Gilimanuk-Ketapang, places of worship, and Bali's many tourist areas. The Head of the Traffic Corps also conveyed that the planned Kemala Run running competition in Bali has the full support of the Bali Provincial Government.

"What's even more encouraging is that the Kemala Run will be held in Bali, and the Governor has given his extraordinary support. This is certainly a good collaboration to ensure the event runs smoothly," said the Head of the Traffic Corps.

Furthermore, Agus confirmed that crossing arrangements at Gilimanuk Port have been prepared to accommodate the Nyepi Day celebrations.

"The Gilimanuk crossing has been regulated for opening and closing times, including from Ketapang to Gilimanuk," he explained.

He added that collaboration between the police and the regional government is key to maintaining security and ensuring the smooth flow of public activities during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr periods.

"With good collaboration, the state is there to ensure all public activities run safely and smoothly," he said.
