inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho inspected the Banyuasin-Betung Toll Road, Palembang on Friday (6/20/2025).
The visit was to evaluate and analyze the road following Operation Ketupat 2025 and strengthen cross-sector synergy in managing traffic flow in South Sumatra.
During the visit, Agus expressed his appreciation to the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Banyuasin Regency Government, PT Hutama Karya, and the PUPR Ministry who have collaborated in supporting smooth traffic flow, especially during the homecoming and return period for Eid.
"The previous Operation Ketupat was doing well, although there was indeed some congestion, I think that's normal because it's Eid. The important thing is that no major disturbance occurred and everything is still under control," said the Head of Traffic Corps.
He also took the time to directly inspect the progress of the Banyuasin-Betung toll road construction. This toll road section has begun to be used on a limited basis during Operation Ketupat. According to him, although not yet fully completed, the toll road has shown an important role in reducing traffic congestion on arterial roads.
"Earlier I received an explanation that next year all sections of this toll will be on the run," he concluded.
