Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps has launched a 30-day public awareness campaign aimed at achieving “Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading” (ODOL) vehicles across the country.
Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said on Sunday (1/5/2025) that the campaign will focus on updating traffic intelligence—particularly vehicle ownership data suspected of violating dimension regulations—and educating transport operators and drivers.
Vehicle owners are encouraged to normalize non-compliant vehicles or take them off the road to promote traffic safety and order.
“This is not just law enforcement—it’s a shared movement toward safer, more sustainable transport,” Chief Agus said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
ODOL vehicles, which exceed legal size and weight limits, are a major contributor to road accidents and infrastructure damage in Indonesia.
The campaign follows a multi-vehicle fatal crash involving an overloaded truck at the Jagorawi Toll Gate in February, prompting renewed calls from the Ministry of Public Works to mitigate ODOL risks.
