Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Jakarta Education Office invites the first-time voters to cast their vote on the February 14th, 2024. They urged them to not go abstain on the most important moment of a country in deciding its future. “We hoped that the participation level from the first-time votes are high and hopefully none of them go abstain as their vote also played a role in deciding nation’s future,” says the Acting Secretary of Jakarta Education Office Taga Radja Gah on Monday (2/12/2024). In pushing the first-time voter to cast their vote, education officials have collaborated with the General Election Commission and Jakarta National and Political Unity Agency in giving politic education regarding the election in schools. According to Taga, students also have important role in developing the democracy in Indonesia. Through better understanding of politics, students could significantly contribute in helping determine the best leader for Indonesia. “As they are the agent of change that could develop Indonesia through positive involvement in political process,” said Taga.
