inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo emphasized that there are no new regulations regarding the odd-even traffic policy at several toll gates in the capital.
"In accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation Number 88 of 2019, there are actually no new regulations regarding the odd-even traffic policy. And now, the public and the media are making it seem like there are new regulations, when in fact, there are none. This includes the 28 on-ramp and off-ramp access points at toll gates," explained Governor Pramono on Friday (6/26/2026).
Meanwhile, the Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police echoed this sentiment. Senior Superintendent Komarudin emphasized that the odd-even traffic policy at several toll gates in Jakarta is not a new policy, but rather an existing regulation that directly impacts the capital's main roads.
He explained that the regulation refers to Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation Number 88 of 2019 concerning Traffic Restrictions with the Odd-Even System.
Under this regulation, several main roads, such as South Pintu Besar, Gajah Mada, and Hayam Wuruk, are required to implement the odd-even policy.
"Therefore, toll gates that have intersections or entrances and exits that directly touch these main roads automatically comply with the applicable traffic regulations," explained Komarudin.
He also clarified a public misunderstanding that the restriction applies to toll roads.
"The policy does not apply on the toll road. Within the toll road itself, that's Jasa Marga's responsibility," he explained.
