Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. People implored to wear mask and keep their hands clean amidst the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve, says Surveillance, Epidemiology and Immunization Head Section of Jakarta Health Office, Ngabila Salama.
“Public who celebrate holidays, particularly the vulnerable groups, are strongly suggested to wear mask and always bring a hand sanitizer with you to prevent you from any infectious disease,” suggest Ngabila.
Furthermore, Ngabila explains what she meant by vulnerable groups. She said that elderly people and those who have not been vaccinated by Covid-19 are the people she meant the vulnerable groups.
“Celebrate your free-worry holiday by fully vaccinated with Covid-19 doses. In this endemic era, the responsible of public health has become our collective responsibility,” explained Ngabila.
It is worth noting that on Sunday (12/17/2023), the recent Covid-19 cases in Indonesia shows 349 new patients, bringing the total of current active cases to 1,983.
