Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The 2025 Indonesian National Track Cycling Championship officially kicked off  on Saturday (12/7/2025) at the Jakarta International Velodrome in Rawamangun, marking the first time the world-class facility has hosted the event since it was inaugurated seven years ago.

Held from 11 to 13 July 2025, the championship gathers 94 cyclists from 10 provinces competing in eight events: point race, individual pursuit, team pursuit, omnium, scratch, time trial, elimination, and madison.

Jakarta, serving as the host province, fielded 17 athletes across various categories—elite, junior, and youth divisions for both men and women.

“This championship is not just a competitive event; it’s also a vital moment to discover promising talent that can represent Indonesia on the international stage,” Jakarta’s Head of Youth and Sports Agency, Andri Yansyah said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

In addition to the main events, a fixie exhibition race was held to promote track cycling among younger generations.
