"There are no group that is above the law. We will be firm. There is no place for thugs," said the Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Chief Senior Superintendent Hengki Haryadi following the arrest of four individuals involved in the shooting of a 44-year-old man in Bekasi, West Java..
He warned those involved in the clashes in Bekasi to surrender, as some suspects in the shooting were still at large. In particular, the clashes within a group such as the Kei group, involving those under individual identified as John Kei and another one under Nus Kei, have caused great concern among the public.
"We expect them to surrender or we will pursue them and act decisively. Regardless, vigilantism or thuggery will not be tolerated. This incident has caused concern among the public," Chief Hengky warned.
The Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Division have arrested four suspects in the shooting of the man, identified by his initials GR, in Bekasi. They were arrested at different locations.
