Police Guarantees Safety for U-17 FIFA World Cup Contestants in Surabaya

In efforts to secure U-17 FIFA World Cup held at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya on November 10th ,2023 until December 2nd, 2023, East Java Regional Police and joint forces gathered for a rally at East Java Regional Police HQ on Wednesday (11/1/2023). The rally for Aman Bacuya Operation involved 3,393 joint personnel of Indonesian National Police and Indonesian Military Force in Surabaya. The joint personnel will be spread to several locations such as around players lodging, and access around training fields in Surabaya. Security personnel will also guarantees the safety of VVIP guest that will attend the U-17 FIFA World Cup in Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium on November 10th. With the arrival of teams of Morocco and Panama on Wednesday (11/1/2023) in International Airport Juanda, Chief Ops of East Java Police Grand Commissioner Puji Santoso says police have been deployed to secure the locations from the airport to Hotel DoubleTree and Sangri-La. “We have prepared everything, we have relayed every information necessary for our personnel,” explains Puji. Aman Bacuya Operations will be held from November 10th to December 2nd 2023. However, only for East Java, the operations will only last until November 23rd for the last match scheduled in the region is on November 21st. (ad/my/pr/nm)
