Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Jakarta Popsivo Polwan secured third place in the Proliga 2026 volleyball league after defeating Jakarta Electric PLN in a dramatic five-set match on Wednesday night. 

Playing at GOR Amongrogo stadium in Yogyakarta, Popsivo triumphed with a final score of 3-2 (19-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16, 15-8), as reported by antaranews.com on Thursday (23/4/2026).

This victory was the second win for Popsivo in the "best of three" bronze-medal format, following their dominant 3-0 sweep in the first meeting. Despite Electric PLN leading twice during the match, Popsivo’s foreign duo, Malwina Smarzek and Yonkaira Pena, spearheaded a fierce comeback to force a deciding fifth set.

In the final set, Coach Darko Dobriskov’s squad capitalized on PLN’s defensive lapses to secure a decisive 15-8 lead. The victory concluded Popsivo’s campaign this season, cementing their podium finish while Electric PLN ends the competition in fourth place.
