inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government urges the public to immediately report any acts of sexual violence or violence against women and children through the Jakarta Siaga 112 service.
"The public can report through our hotline or PPA at 0852-1786-6445 or our hotline at 0813-176-176-22 or through the Jakarta Siaga 112 service," said Dwi Oktavia, Head of the Jakarta Provincial Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP), Tuesday (4/7/2026).
The service provided by the Jakarta Center for Women's and Children's Protection (PPPA) is free and open 24 hours a day.
This appeal was reiterated by the Jakarta PPAPP Service following the case of an online taxi passenger being harassed by a driver on Saturday (3/14/2026) in the Istana Harmoni Apartment area, Central Jakarta.
During the trip, the perpetrator established communication, then manipulated the situation until the victim was in a vulnerable position before allegedly committing sexual harassment in the vehicle.
Responding to the case, Dwi stated that the victim had received intervention services from PPAPP after receiving assistance from the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Child Empowerment and Protection Service (PPA).
"The victim has received assistance several times, both psychosocial and legal consultations. We will continue to provide assistance regarding the legal process and its continuation, as well as assistance examinations and psychological counseling," explained Dwi.
Furthermore, the victim has received security guarantees at the Temporary Protection House. Head of the Jakarta Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (PPAPP) Dwi added that the Jakarta Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (PPAPP) is committed to providing professional and integrated services, synergizing to support law enforcement, prevention, and victim recovery.
