The Special Criminal Investigation Director of Jambi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Bambang Yugo Pamungkas reminds locals to beware with various online scams during Ramadan. "Usually, there are many online scams going around at these times," said Yugo on Friday (3/15/2024). Yugo says that Jambi Regional Police continuously reminds public through dissemination about the threats of online scams. "We implore public to beware with the deposit scams through comments and like in certain posts where they get the money from there," said Yugo. Public is urged to first validates and confirm quick messages from Instagram and Facebook. As the Eid approaches, Yugo further warned that there are many irresponsible individuals going around digital spaces to scam people. "Therefore, public implored to be aware with digital scams," warned Yudo. Senior Superintendent Yugo hopes public would be wiser and smarter in using social media and not to easily trust any strangers in social media. (ad/mz/pr/nm)
