Maluku Regional Police Chief Asked Local Figures to Educate and Guide Teenagers

Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Lotharia Latif asked local figures to teach and educate the juveniles in Ambon to avoid illegal racing. “Let us together guide and teach our teenagers to not get involved with brawls or illegal racing as it is dangerous for themselves and others,” said Latif on Friday (3/15/2024). According to him, various problems arise in society often involves teenagers. Therefore he implores for parents to watch over their kids. He also implored for all religious figures to act in realizing safe, peace, and prosperous Maluku. "We also hoped for religious figures in creating traffic order for our next generations," implore Latif. The two-star general also invites youths to stay away from illegal racing. He stressed that not only the race violates the law, but it also endanger others. Latif stressed the importance of traffic law compliance and hoped for the youths to instead do positive activities. "Police parties will act firm to act against illegal racer to maintain order and safety in the traffic. Let us accept this good initiative and be proactive in creating safe and order," conclude the police chief. (ad/sy/hn/nm)
