Inp.polri.go.id - Sentani. Police Superintendent Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen, Chief of Jayapura Sub-Regional Police, has urged officers to uphold neutrality and professionalism during the upcoming 2024 Elections, on Tuesday (21/11/23).
The police chief underscored that both the police and military, as security entities, have the responsibility of safeguarding the nation's interest during the five-yearly democratic event and should refrain from engaging in practical politics.
Encouraging public involvement, he stated, "We anticipate active participation from the public in fostering a clean and fair election. Report any suspicious actions or rule violations."
He further highlighted that efforts to maintain neutrality are crucial in ensuring the integrity of the election, reinforcing the role of the police as independent and neutral law enforcers.
"We hope that all members fulfill their duties responsibly for the security and smooth conduct of the democratic process in the Jayapura Regency," he concluded.
