The Mojokerto Police Chief, AKBP Wiwit Adisatria, said the Mojokerto Police supported the commitment of the National Police Chief and the East Java Police Chief regarding the eradication of gambling. "Be it conventional gambling, online gambling or various other forms of criminal offenses, we will act firm against it," said the Mojokerto Police Chief, Monday (29/8/22).
The Head of Police continued that the disband of the cockfighting gambling was from the public information in the jurisdiction of the Jetis. Then, Members of the Jetis Police immediately checked the cockfighting gambling arena in an empty land near the river.
“Although the police have able to confiscate evidence such as the chickens and the motorcycle, the gamblers have already ran away when the personnel arrived,” said AKBP Wiwit Adisatria.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Mojokerto Police, Ipda MK Umam stated that several evidences from the cockfighting were four roosters, a cage, a wall clock, curtains, some sandals, and four motorbikes.
The evidence was immediately secured at the Jetis Police Headquarters for further investigation. The Head of Public Relations emphasized that his party would not tolerate all forms of gambling, including cockfighting. Eradication will be carried out on all community disease activities.
