inp.polri.go.id - On the evening of takbiran until the end of Eid prayers on Monday morning, the police estimated that at least 30,000 vehicles left Jakarta to various cities on the islands of Java and Sumatra. "We just have to wait for those who leave tonight at the takbiran night, or tomorrow after the Eid prayer," explained the National Police Chief of Traffic (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Drs. Firman Shantyabudi, M.Sc., Sunday (1/5/2022). Kakorlantas Polri had visited the Command Center at KM 29 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, to ensure the traffic conditions from Jakarta to the east. Kakorlantas Polri is optimistic that the traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road will remain normal without any traffic engineering, although it is estimated that around 30,000 vehicles will leave Jakarta on the night of takbiran or after the Eid prayer. For this reason, Kakorlantas Polri said that they decided to end the one-way system from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to KM 414 of the Kalingkangkung Toll Gate. "Today the number of vehicles has dropped, to around 30 thousand, from last Saturday that reached around 85 thousand," stated Kakorlantas. Kakorlantas Polri stated that the remaining 30,000 vehicles could still be accommodated on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road under normal conditions. "So, we will end the one-way system at 12.00 WIB according to our plan, we hoped that the community will still comply with the rules of the road," said Kakorlantas Polri. Previously, the Korlantas Polri implemented a one-way system to break up the density of travelers on Saturday (30/4) at 22.00 WIB. The discretion starts from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to the Kalikangkung Toll Gate KM 414.
