inp.polri.go.id – Jabar. West Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jabar), Inspector General Drs. Suntana, M.Sc., emphasized that the legal process for the deaths of twins who were hit by a big motorbike rider on Jalan Raya Kedung Palumpung, Tunggilis Village, Kalipucang District, Pangandaran Regency continues.
He stated this when he was monitoring the Covid-19 vaccination at the Lembang Police Headquarters, West Bandung Regency on Monday (14/3/22). He has instructed the Ciamis Police (Polres Ciamis) to continue to process the case.
"The legal process must continue, I have ordered the Ciamis Police Chief to proceed legally," said Kapolda Jabar.
Previously, Hasan and Husen, the twins from Babakansari Hamlet, RT. 3 RW. 5 Ciganjeng Village, Padaherang District, Pangandaran Regency, were killed when they were hit by a motorbike convoy.
The family and the perpetrators agreed to make peace. Although it was already over between them, Kapolda Jabar and his party will continue to process the law according to the existing rules.
"They are already approaching the family and decided to resolve the matter peacefully. However, we will still carry out the legal process according to existing rules, because the accident caused deaths," explained the West Java Police Chief.
He appealed to all riders, including large motorbike convoys, to be more vigilant and careful.
"All drivers must be careful, do not speed up, look around, pay attention to other road users," advised the Two-Star General.
Previously, it was reported that Pangandaran Regent, Jeje Wiradinata, spoke about the incident on Saturday (12/3/22).
Jeje said his party would apply traffic signs. According to him, a straight road without any traffic signs and obstacles is very dangerous. Especially when it was in a densely populated area.
"We will order the Department of Transportation to install signs to slow down the speed in densely populated areas," said Jeje when visiting the family of Hasan and Husen who died after being hit by a Harley Davidson motorcycle, Sunday (13/3/22).
