inp.polri.go.id - Sumut. North Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc., conveyed a clear and firm message to all cooking oil distributors and producers. This message was conveyed when all producers were gathered at the Adhi Pradana Lobby of the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, Tuesday (15/3/2022).
Kapolda Sumut requested that all cooking oil producers guarantee the distribution to traditional and modern markets in North Sumatra. "Both in modern and traditional markets, availability must be strictly monitored," said the two-star general of the North Sumatran Police.
The number one figure in the North Sumatra Regional Police asked all Polres to closely monitor ports, borders, and land routes. This is done to prevent violations in exporting CPO and its derivatives. "Strict supervision is carried out on producers to ensure distribution reaches the community," said Kapolda Sumut.
The former North Sulawesi Police Chief also asked producers to continue to produce the cooking oil to meet the needs of the community. Kapolda Sumut also reminded producers to work together to ensure the availability of the stocks. "We will ensure a safe distribution to retail and modern markets, especially ahead of Ramadhan," explained the Inspector General. Pol. Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc.
The need for cooking oil in North Sumatra is 131,413 tons per month, while the production capacity is 284,516 tons per month. Meanwhile, there are 16 cooking oil producers and 105 distributors in North Sumatra.
