Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Firli Bahuri has denied claims that he held a meeting with former agriculture minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo at his residence at Jalan Kartanegara No. 46, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. "There wasn't any, there wasn't any," he told media after attending a badminton tournament for the Chief of Army Staff (KASAD) Cup 2023 at the Gelora Bung Karno Arena in Central Jakarta on Sunday (29/10/2023). Firli said that he used the house in Kartanegara area as a place to rest when he engaged in activities in Jakarta, antaranews.com reported. "It's just a place to rest when I have activities in Jakarta," he explained. Firli has been under investigation for allegedly extorting money from suspects in the corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture involving former agriculture minister Limpo. Earlier on Thursday, the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Division has conducted searches at Firli's two houses. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
